On August 29, Accio Coffee Bandung was filled with the enthusiasm of local songwriters attending Malem-Malem Publishing. The event created space for creators to better understand copyright and the crucial role of music publishers—two aspects often overlooked in the songwriting process.

Franki Indrasmoro (right), Membership Manager of Massive Music, highlighted why songwriters need music publishers to maximize the reach and value of their work.

Many young musicians tend to focus only on writing songs, without realizing that their works carry both legal and economic value that must be protected. This is where music publishers step in—not just as guardians of rights, but as bridges that connect songs with wider opportunities in films, commercials, series, and even authorized cover versions.

Libby Davitri, Music Supervisor at Massive Music, explained the potential of songs to be used in films, series, and other media platforms.

During the session, Massive Music underlined the importance of having a strategic publisher as a partner. With long-standing experience and an extensive network, Massive Music positions itself as a reliable and innovative ally committed to building a healthier and fairer music ecosystem.

Aska Pratama, songwriter/member of Rocket Rockers, shared his testimonial on how Massive Music has supported him in managing the copyrights of his works.

Beyond presentations, the event also encouraged open dialogue. Songwriters were able to ask questions directly, share experiences, and connect with fellow creators. The warm atmosphere at Accio Coffee made the discussion feel close, practical, and relevant to their everyday challenges.

Ganjar Ariel, COO of Massive Music, emphasized the importance of music publishers within the music industry.

Massive Music extends its appreciation to Accio Coffee, Bandung, and all partners who supported the event. Malem-Malem Publishing stands as proof that collaboration and education are key to strengthening the music industry.
